It was a very WET and WILD day for the volunteers that worked at the Bark 'N
Bubbles HART Day!
Bark 'N Bubbles hosted our first HART Wash Your Dog Day November 18th and it
was a BIG success. There were 32 dogs bathed, pampered with Blueberry
Facials and blown dry by a very dedicated team of HART volunteers. It
was so exciting to see our old friends, HART alumni and meet new friends
that all came out to support HART. Great fun was had by everyone.
Thank you to our great group of volunteers, the friends that came with their
pups and a big thank you to Pam and Ursula from Bark 'N Bubbles. We
hope they invite us back soon!
And thanks to Meg for the photos!

Second Annual
HART
Dog Walk and Homecoming
September 7, 2007
Bull Run Regional Park - Special Events Area
We had a wonderful Dog Walk and
Homecoming! It was hot, but there were over 100 dogs walking and
hundreds of people!l We had vendors and music and puppy pools!
We raised over $13,000 for HART!
A heartfelt Thank You to our vendors, sponsors, Friends with HART,
volunteers, and everyone who participated in the walk! We couldn't
have done it without you!
A special thanks to Dawn and her team, Kim, Karen, Jane, Charlie, Sonja and
Sheldon, Terry, Linda, Karin, Holly, Marcia and Gale, for a very successful
fund raising event and a delightful day in the park!

What
began as a perfect day turned out to be much less. But, in spite of the
weather, the wind, cold, and rain, it was all worthwhile. BIG thanks to all
the cat and dog program volunteers who came out to help. We had interest in
a number of the dogs and kittens. We finalized an adoption for one of
Patricia's puppies and chances are the other two are adopted. And there was
lots of interest in the kittens and several of the dogs. Also, we were able
to give 200 - 300 hundred people post cards about HART that included our web
site and asked them to donate, volunteer, adopt or foster. And,
with donations and minimal T-shirt and cookbook sales (due to the weather),
between the cat and dog tents, about 50/50, we netted around $300. Thanks,
everyone!!
