Our beloved dog, Meggie Balder, a mix between spaniel, lab and border collie, passed away on June 25th at the age of 14 and 1/2 years.

We adopted Meggie from Dottie Caicedo and HART on June 7, 1992. We had thirteen wonderful years with Meggie. Meggie was a remarkably loving animal, having been abused and then abandoned with her four puppies in early 1992, a few months before we met Dottie and HART and made the decision to adopt her.

She had a gentle soul, loved children and other animals, taught our now ten-year son to love and appreciate animals, and will be missed. She lives inside all of us.
