Sweet Ralph was hit by a school bus & then dumped at rural VA Vet Clinic back in mid-November. Despite his pain Ralph never lost his happy-go-lucky, can-do attitude. He had an FHO on his right rear hip to correct a cracked pelvis & reconstruction of the tendon/talus fracture to his right rear leg. His leg doesn't slow him down a bit & the specialist feels he has a good prognosis for use throughout life- he'd even make a great agility or walking/hiking partner. Ralph is such a happy boy. He loves life & everything it has to offer. He is full of kisses, loves meeting people & laying on his back in your lap for belly rubs. He enjoys all other dogs, no matter size or sex, & has a blast playing & snuggling with them. His favorite place is the small dog side of Reston dog park! He shares well, adores toys & already fetches balls. He sleeps through the night, comes when called in the house, is housebroken (as long as let out regularly), crate-trained & rides well in the car. He is all puppy so has a lot of energy, barks, jumps & can chew- so will need training & proper toys, but is a smart boy & will excel at training (he's already learned "sit"). He lived with a family with 4 kids (whom he slept in bed with) & another dog for 6 months & they confirmed what a great dog he is but due to unforseen medical problems the family itself is experiencing he recently came back to HARTs care. Don't miss your chance to meet this super sweet, perpetually happy, adorable, fun, playful & all around great companion!
