Donnie-adopted 2 016 - Adopted on 7/20/2016

Donnie will be an amazing addition to the right home. He is sweet, affectionate, playful, bright, attentive, fully housebroken, well-trained, eager to please, and not at all yappy or destructive. He bonds quickly and craves companionship all the time. He is not good with children of any age and leary of larger assertive dogs, and should not be forced into an interaction if he shows anxiety. And he should never be allowed contact with children, even if he shows interest. Initially shy with strangers, he keeps his super-awesomeness hidden at adoption events but comes out of his shell once he is at home with his foster family. He's in heaven curled up next to someone or on their lap watching TV. He loves to play fetch with a rubber ball and knows basic commands like sit, stay, etc. Someone taught him to shake hands/paws. He knows to do his business outside and has had no accidents in his foster home. He is crate-trained and goes into a crate willingly. Donnie would do best in an adult household where someone is home most of the day. He'd be fine with a non-bossy canine playmate his own size. Donnie is a charmer and a joy to be around with oodles of love and devotion to give.
