Meet Grover, the handsome redtick coonhound mix. Grover is a sweet boy who loves to give hugs and kisses. He is extremely friendly with people and other dogs. In his foster home he has a "sister" who he gets along with really well. At mealtime, he is respectful and does not try to eat her food. Speaking of food, Grover LOVES treats. He is very treat motivated which means his obedience training is going very well. So far he can do sit, down, and stay (for about 10 seconds) when enticed by treats (and sometimes even just with the hand signals). He also knows how to go to his crate on command. He is learning to sit at doorways and when approaching a curb or intersection. He walks well on the leash and is beginning to learn to heel. He is a fast learner and his foster family thinks he should be able to master these things quickly with a bit more practice. Grover's unique coloring and markings attract a lot of attention. While out and about, his foster family has received many compliments on his appearance. His coat is very soft and he seems to shed very little. His foster family has given him a few baths, and he is very cooperative.
