Cheshire's unique look comes from the fact that he is a "Puggle" - part beagle and part pug. Puggle rhymes with snuggle and that is one of Cheshire's favorite things to do after a busy day of play or a nice long walk!

Cheshire has clearly lived in a home before and is house and crate trained and knows a few commands like sit, down, and shake. He loves to play ball and returns it to you... most of the time. He likes to play tug and has been very good about knowing the difference between what is a toy for chew time and what is not.

Cheshire would love a family that understands that young, busy boys need some direction and limits as he tends to get excited during play and can jump up and "mouth" or lick excessively when stimulated. Stopping play when he does this is helping him learn to control his excitement and for this reason he would do best with older children.

Cheshire loves to play with other dogs and his foster siblings are also helping him learn how to play without using his mouth as much. He takes correction very well from people and from other dogs and really wants to do what you ask as soon as he understands the rules and knows that you will be consistent in asking him to follow them.

If you are looking for friend who likes to play hard and then snuggle - and who snores just a little - Cheshire the Puggle might be for you.
