This sweet hound would be a great addition to a moderately active home. He does well on the leash and would be a great running or walking partner. He still has some puppy play in him but he is full grown, potty trained, crate trained and just a great all around dog. He would greatly benefit from some training and socializing but has great potential. Because he is a little mouthy when he plays, he would do best in a home with older kids (at least until he learns his manners - otherwise he is very gentle). He is dog friendly but sometimes comes on a little strong. He is definitely learning though!
This boy will definitely keep a smile on your face with his goofy personality and fun loving nature. In a new environment he gets very excited and wants to play, play, play but once he settles into a routine, he calms down quite a bit. His owner who relinquished him for no good reason - just didn't want him anymore. :(
