Franceska (Maggie) is a super sweet girl who unfortunately had two bad turns of luck with her first owner passing away and her second owner unable to transition her to his new life in NYC. She is an older gal but that does not slow her down that much as she loves go on walks and for car rides. She is good with other dogs but it is 'her person' that she lives for and will be devoted to. She is house trained with excellent house manners and no need to crate her. She will bark when left alone however, especially in a new location, that will temper some over time but she would do best in a home where at least one person was home most of the time. While good with children she is in her twilight years so a quieter household would also be best. She likes her toys and will play with another dog once she becomes comfortable with them. She has been in a home with cats and after a little alert barking just ignores them. She does suffer from allergies but that is under control with a single medication. While comfortable in her foster home it would be nice to find her her forever home and new forever person.
