Popeye (Pops) has had a hard-knock life but is amazingly sweet despite everything he has been through. He came to HART from a shelter in South Carolina and had clearly been through some tough times. He was very thin but has filled out at his foster home.
Pops is a real sweatheart - he loves to be around people and wags with his whole body. He walks well on a leash and loves going for walks - or jogs - with you. He is great with people, kids, and other dogs. He loves running and playing with squeaky toys, and then will happily settle down for lots of pets, cuddles, and belly rubs. And it just makes his day to get a treat! Pops is also house trained and loves to ride in the car.
