Hello! I'm looking for a very special forever home because I'm a very special dog. When I first came to HART I was completely withdrawn, I couldn't look at people, hid in the back of my crate and just wanted to be invisible. But a nice foster family is taking care of me now. They are teaching me that humans are OK and that I can be a good companion dog. I've made a lot of progress in the past few weeks! While I still prefer not to take walks, I do a very good job of taking care of my "business" outside. Although I'm very timid, I do enjoy running, jumping, toy chewing and playing like any puppy my age does. I will curl up on the couch beside you and appreciate being petted, especially around my really cute, soft ears. I get along very well with the dogs in my foster home, but I try to avoid the cats. I want to be one of the pack, but my tendency is to retreat to a safe place, just in case. My forever home will need to understand that I'm very shy and easily frightened. But given enough time and patience, I'll continue to gain confidence. Just look at my face! I'm as sweet, gentle and cuddly as I look. I would do best in a quiet home with another dog who will help me continue gaining self-assurance.
