Sneakers - Adopted on 7/19/2014

Affectionate little man in search of a warm lap. Sneakers earned his name as he was trained to use a doggie door, so he can 'sneak' past open doors to see what is outside. Even without a doggie door he is housebroken & will signal by barking at the door when he needs out. Sneakers is extremely affectionate & loyal- he is always by his fosters side. He loves a good belly rub/ear scratch & will give you gentle little kisses in return & show gratitude in his soulful eyes. While he loves affection, he is not 'needy' in any way. He does fine in a crate, even for an 8 hr workday, but doesn't need one & sleeps loose in his fosters room at night. He is smart & responds well to verbal corrections & commands. He walks well on a leash, is not a chewer & is perfect for car rides, even long ones. He hops right in his fosters Jeep & curls up in the passenger seat. He is a wonderful medium energy dog- happy to lay next to you for lazy nights in but also happy to join you on any distance walk you are up for. While he does well meeting children of any size, he would do best living with adults. He makes a great 'fake guard dog', as he will alert you to loud noises or people/other dogs walking by, but in the house is quite quiet. He does well with the other dogs in his foster home (M & F), but is mostly people oriented. This little man has been waiting too long for his forever home. He will make an incredible companion, with more love to give then you'd think could fit in his small stature.
