Buck-adopted 2 019 - Adopted on 11/23/2019

Age:  12 years

Gender:  Male

Breed:  Shepherd/Husky Mix

Buck has been our foster dog for a long time. He's housebroken, listens well, will alert if somebody comes to the house, doesn't have to be crated, doesn't get up on furniture (because he's not allowed), and isn't a chewer. He's looking for someone who doesn't have a busy household, no children and somebody who can give him good leadership. Buck is weary of strangers and will need time warming up to people in particular men. Buck definitely enjoys being with you but isn't an overly affectionate dog. We've worked on basic commands, sit, down, stay, heel, bed, leave it, etc. We brush Buck and give him an occasional bath (even though he's a very clean dog) and he does well. Buck has been around numerous other dogs and seems to do best with female dogs who are smaller or the same size as him. (although he's done wonderful with several male dogs as well). It'll all depend on leadership and temperament of the other dog and the owner. Buck is sensitive to noise (fireworks, gunshots and thunderstorms) and will hide under the bed when this happens. Please let me know if you're interested in Buck. We will provide straight answers and just want to make sure you're getting the right dog for your household and that Buck is getting the right forever home.
