Ansel - Adoption Pending

Ansel is a beautiful dog who is on the smaller side. He is housetrained, crate trained with medium energy. His former people described him as "sweet, loyal, snuggly, and playful." He has a pretty strong prey drives for wildlife (squirrels, deer, foxes etc.. They reported to us that his favorite things to do are to chew on hard toys, play with balls in a fenced yard, go for walks and snuggle on the couch. In his prior home, Ansel was very protective of the mom and very loyal to her. We are looking for a home for Ansel with someone with experience with dogs. He would do best in a home with one person or a couple without children and would do best without other animals. Even with his protective behavior, his prior family described him as "a wonderful dog" but given the children in the home it was not the right fit. And Ansel will be a wonderful dog for the right person or couple willing to give him the training, structure and exercise he needs. If you are interested in Ansel, please let us know.
