Please donate one or more of the following items to help us take care of the many dogs and cats in our care while waiting for loving forever homes. HART is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Your donations are tax deductible.
Call (703) 691-HART or email the HART Office if you can supply any of these items or services! We always take donation drop offs at dog or cat Adoption Events. If you plan to drop something off however, advance notice is appreciated so we can ensure we make room.
Urgent Need
- Cash Donations are always appreciated due to our very large veterinary expenses for all the dogs and cats in our care!
- Spot flea medication for dogs and cats - Frontline (dogs only), Advantage, Revolution
- Non-clumping cat litter to use for small kittens
- Nutro Natural Choice kitten food, both dry and canned
- Puppy pads
- Gift cards for Petsmart and Petco for buying supplies
- Gift cards for Shell/Exxon/Citgo or any gas stations since we transport a lot of dogs and cats to adoption events and to veterinary appointments every week
- Ink jet printer cartridges sizes HP15, HP23, HP45, and HP78
- Signage (sandwich boards, table top displays, or other signs that we can use to promote HART and our animals)
Pet Supplies
- Clumping cat litter
- Nutro Natural Choice adult cat food, both dry and canned
- Dog food (Avoderm, Regal or Wellness preferred)
- Food/water bowls (stainless steel preferred)
- Dog crates, especially medium and large wire folding dog crates for showing animals at adoption day events
- Cat beds, toys, and scratching posts
- Dog beds for medium and large dogs
- Sporn or other no pull chest harnesses
- Double handle, 4' web leashes
- Dog collars, including martingale "no slip" collars and metal buckle collars
- Dog brushes and combs
- Dog shampoo and conditioner
- Yarn, preferably the softer and "fun fur" types for crocheting cat toys
