Hi, I'm Prince Charles. I'm 3 years old, cat and dog friendly and pretty much housebroken. I am crate trained, however, if I am there too long I get a little bored and will rip up my bedding, but my foster mom and I are working on that. I am also not a barker when left alone. My only downfall is that I am extremely shy. Because of this most people walk right by me without noticing me. But as my foster mom will tell you, once I am in your house, you will slowly see signs of me trusting you and interacting more as I get comfortable. I walk pretty well on a leash but do tend to get spooked by loud noises. Because of this, I am not a good candidate for dog parks or to be off leash at any time. My foster mom is pretty sure that even with a fence, I would climb right over it when I am scared, after all I do have shepherd in me and am very athletic. I am pretty low energy right now, but may become a little higher energy as I get comfortable. Since I am so shy, I need a quiet house with people who will go slowly with me and allow me to gain my confidence. For this reason, I probably shouldn't be in a house with small children or teenage children that have lots of friends over.
My foster mom will tell you that I am a very sweet boy and with a little time and patience I will become a confident dog that will be loyal, loving and your best friend.
