Sugar - adopted - Adopted on 9/5/2015

Wow, what a girl! Sweet Sugar was lucky enough to wander up to a wonderful animal lovers property in rural Virginia. She was skinny, covered in ash, & had clearly not had proper care in her early life, but her tail never stopped wagging & her sweet nature shined through. When we first met her at the shelter (see video below), even in that environment she couldn't get enough attention from people & happily followed us around the play yard. On transport up to this area she was great in the car- played navigator for a bit & then curled up happily in the passenger seat of our volunteers jeep & napped. Sugar is now living happily in a foster home with another dog & a teenager. She has discovered how wonderful soft couches & chairs are. She loves to go on long walks & walks well on a leash. She enjoys meeting children & rolls over for belly rubs. She likes to explore & can get out of a 4-foot chain link fence, so will need a home with a higher board-on-board fence or no fence, just leash walks. Come meet this super sweet girl!
