Charlie came to HART all the way from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. He was slated to be euthanized as the shelter was completely out of space before the Thanksgiving holiday. After we agreed to take him they got him out of the shelter and into a foster home. Here is what the foster said of Charlie: "Charlie is a total sweetheart, very loving and gentle. He is completely house trained and doesn't get into anything. Charlie loves to nestle right up next to you. He is very social. He has not seemed timid on meeting anyone, and is very excited with any social interaction. He runs up to new people, with a wagging tail and tends to jump on and lick them. Is very attached to people he is comfortable with. Charlie is a "Velcro" dog His ideal home is: "With other dogs, a place where he can get a fair amount of exercise. Charlie is a sweet, loving boy. He is fully house trained and enjoys lying in his crate. He loves sleeping in a bed right next to someone. He does well with meeting new people and other animals." Charlie actually went into another foster for one week when the other foster home was out of town. The second foster thought he was wonderful too and this is what he said: "Charlie is leash trained., knows how to sit, lie down, and stay. He loves to cuddle and jump up on the bed and sleep with you. He loves to play with my other puppy and they are almost inseparable during the day". If you are interested in meeting Charlie please let us know!
