Tess is one legendary dog. She has an exquisite physique like what you would see in a painting in a museum. Added to this is fur like velvet. She is somewhat of a "Velcro dog" staying at your side as you move around the house. The foster for Tess comments: "She is a dog that is easy to train, which is great. She walks calmly at my left side, which is handy in that she is a larger size. She greets guests at the door with ease, weathers our 5 and 7 year old niece and nephew visits happily, and is a joy to have around. On our walks, she has yet to meet a dog that she doesn't like. She is eager to play, and entices the other dogs to play with her, though it is advised to keep these encounters short in that she gets very excited very fast. Feeding Tess is easy in that she is trained to wait in a sit until you give the OK to approach her dish. She doesn't chew things that belong to us (furniture, shoes, etc.) and sticks to her chew toys and tennis balls. She is trained not to get on the furniture, and from what I can see when I vacuum, isn't much of a shedder at all! All in all, she has bee a GREAT dog. Someone with strength will be a good match for Tess. She eagerly approaches dogs on walks and is still learning how to slow down in her journey to greet them joyfully. Tess must be an only dog at your house. She hasn't been tested with dog visitors, but we would recommend against it. Territory and meeting during a walk are two different situations for this smart girl. She is truly a joy!"
