From her foster mom: "Leigh is a very sociable, sweet dog. She loves people and is good with other dogs though she is definitely still in the puppy stage and wants to play - my dogs don't take to it as much b/c she is so much larger. She is VERY good with her potty habits - no accidents yet which is much more than I can say for my dogs. Riley is also smart and is learning how to "Sit" on command already. She also walks pretty well on a leash considering she is under a year old and probably hasn't been walked a whole lot in her lifetime. We are working on her jumping on us out of excitement, but that's probably going to take some time. The main issue is her extreme separation anxiety which combined with her size and smartness will take time to address. She is what I call a "houdini" dog and has managed to escape her wire crate three times despite special modifications to keep the door shut and has managed to open our baby/dog gate that fools humans as well. She has to be crated trained though because she will destroy items in the house that you won't expect! She would definitely do best in a home where someone is around more, but I know that's hard to find. She will make an amazing family dog though once her crate/separation anxiety issues lessen and she needs to be placed with an adopter who is willing to work with her on her issues."
