Very sweet and loving, Sophie was found abandoned at a preschool. She was in poor condition weighing a little over 5lbs, and her coat was badly matted. She was running up to all the children as they arrived for school and was trying to be affectionate with them. Somebody was about to call animal control and a kind person hastily offered to take her to save her life. He brought her to his own cats' vet where she received all the treatment and shots that she needed including vaccines. The vet noted that she had already been spayed and had also been declawed. Her foster home has 3 kids, two cats, as well as a stray they care for outside the house. Add their guinea pigs and hamsters to this mix and you can see why these folks need someone to adopt Sophie. She is living in their basement right now to keep her separate from our other cats but this isn't a long term solution
